I’m currently taking a break before I head off to the city. I haven’t even completed the given project assignment for class but I have revamped my entire design. Ever since last week when my instructor talked to me about my progress my brain has been rattled. He basically told me that my designs are good, I have good ideas, and I recognize great design. However, he also told me that I lack a sort of surprise in my design and he wanted to be freakin dazzled by my website design. I’ve had him before and I guess my design style is not awesome enough for him.

This is why my current assignment has not been done. I don’t even know how I got him to steer me into a direction that is becoming eerily similar to my design concept for the book I designed in the last class I had with him.

I’m frustrated, but at least I’m still more ahead than some people in my class. Hopefully I can come home tonight with a finalized logo.

At least my other project is looking completely different. Oh, whale. Off to San Francisco now so that I can drown my sorrows in coffee before class.
